I published my first book through a vanity press in 2010 and paid far more than I should have. That experience motivated me to learn the publishing process myself. I registered Pyramid Publishers as an LLC in Minnesota and went on to publish ten additional books of my own, along with more than fifty titles for other authors. Pyramid Publishing Services grew out of that work to support authors who may have pursued traditional publishing without securing a contract but still wanted to bring a professional-quality book into the world.
Pyramid Publishing Services is not a vanity press or a traditional publishing house. We meet authors exactly where they are whether they are asking “How do I even begin?” are looking for professional editing, cover design, and interior formatting, are seeking the credibility of an established publisher’s imprint, or simply needing coaching to ensure every step is handled correctly. We also assist with titles, Amazon book descriptions, and keyword strategy—everything an author needs to publish a book that looks and reads like it was produced by a professional.
There is no upfront payment required to begin. Every project starts with a no-cost sample edit or sample format so authors can evaluate the quality of the services offered. Once the scope is agreed upon, an initial milestone payment of 25% begins the work, with additional milestone payments as the project progresses. The final payment is made only when the book is completed to the author’s satisfaction and ready for print.
